Celebration of Womanhood

United Way of Greater Union County is the recipient of the 2011 Annual Celebration of Womanhood Conferences grant from The New Jersey Governor's Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Committee, which is administered through the Juvenile Justice Commission.  For the 3rd year, we will host the Annual Celebration of Womanhood Conference on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Kean University, for over 300 at risk young women ages 13-17 from across the State of New Jersey, residing in Hunterdon, Monmouth, Mercer, Union, Middlesex, Somerset, and Ocean Counties. The event, made possible through the NJ Governor’s JJDP Committee, provides a unique opportunity that empowers young women and gives them the tools they need to succeed in today*s world.
