United Way of Greater Union County Recruits Volunteers for Roselle Day Care Center

Roselle Day Care Center is a private, non-profit agency providing quality care for the children of low and moderate-income families in the areas of Roselle, Roselle Park, Linden, Elizabeth and Rahway, New Jersey. The center is licensed by the Division of Family Development and is funded from a variety of public and private sources, primarily with the Social Service Block Grant.

Their mission is to provide full time quality childcare to a diverse population in a safe, nurturing, healthy and stimulating environment. The center strives to educate the children, their parents and the community as a whole.

"My son, Christopher Godinez has attended Roselle Day care Center for three years and I am very appreciative for care, love and patience the staff has demonstrated to my child. I understand that there was a period when my child was having behavior problems and his teacher spoke with me privately about this concern. After a few incidents, the center suggested that I call a department in Trinitas that would evaluate my child and offer help if needed. I checked into it and it was the best thing I could of done to help my child. His behavior improved not only at school but at home as well. I would like to thank you again for the wonderful service and safety provided to my child while he was in the center. With some readjustments, Christopher has been able to learn and prepare himself for kindergarten."

The center makes use of volunteer services on an individual basis as well as volunteers organized by United Way of Greater Union County, Rotary and other civic groups.
