Proceeds Help to Benefit United Way of Greater Union County
The name Arthur Murray is internationally known and world class when it comes to dance. “A Theatre Night, Broadway Tribute,” a collaborative fundraising event by the Arthur Murray Dance Centers of New Jersey, will converge onto the stage of Wilkins Theatre at Kean University, Union, New Jersey, on August 9, 2014, at 7 pm.
Expect nothing less than show-stopping performances while supporting a local charity working to improve the lives of families in need. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit United Way of Greater Union County, an organization that has deep roots in supporting and servicing communities and, in particular, strengthening families.
The audience will see dance performances choreographed to music from popular Broadway shows. The dazzling singular sensational and adult-student formation dance routines, in full costume regalia that audiences have come to enjoy, will highlight countless hours of skills, technique and practice completed by the Arthur Murray students. This event has been a long-time in the making and the students, along with staff, are excited to pay tribute to the best of the “The Great White Way.”
“We have always dreamt of showing off our skills in a larger venue. All our students are so excited to see their dreams come to life, and after working so hard, they are really good, I’m proud to say,” said Jessica Robinson, Program Director of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Kenilworth, NJ. Robinson continued, “this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of our students who will dance in front of a general audience as well as their family and friends.
”Tickets for the event are $25 and can be purchased by contacting (908) 272-7955 or visiting www.ArthurMurrayNewJersey.com
