LOVE UNITED ~ LIVE UNITED Provides Opportunities To Thank Those Who Perform Acts of Kindness

February is usually associated with love and a time when many people celebrate Valentine's Day.  For us, at United Way of Greater Union County, we choose to highlight the many acts of kindness our fellow Union County residents and workers expressed to each other.

“People perform many acts of kindness, which have a profound impact on the lives of our neighbors, our families, and our communities,” state James W. Horne, Jr., President/CEO, United Way of Greater Union County (UWGUC).

For this reason, UWGUC launched the LOVE UNITED ~ LIVE UNITED social media campaign, during the month of February, to focus public attention on the needs of children and their families and to recognize United Way programs that assist in strengthening families.

We appreciate the local support we received and thank those who SHARED our posts and showed their enthusiasm and interest in our cause by sharing random acts of kindness.  There were quite few examples including these women (featured in this photo) who took time out of their very busy schedules and conducted a clothing drive.  They collected gently used clothing and donated bags of clothes to the Gateway Family YMCA.

We want to thank all those who participated in the LOVE UNITED ~ LIVE UNITED campaign.
