United Way of Greater Union County (UWGUC) will kick off its 2011-12 Annual Campaign at the14th Annual Union County MusicFest on Sunday, September 18th, during New Jersey Family Day. The kick off will officially announce the organizations campaign goal of $4.7 million.
The Union County Fair featuring MusicFest brings together thousands of people in the community for free non-stop musical entertainment and fun for the entire family from September 14th – 18th at Oak Ridge Park in Clark. This year’s MusicFest will once again include three stages which will host an exciting line-up of popular national and local musical acts including artists such as Blondie, Collective Soul, Neon Trees and The Smithereens.
United Way will be at the fest from Friday, September 16th – Sunday, September 18th and will have a booth located in Vendor Village where guests can participate in an interactive community survey, learn more about the organization’s mission, programs, volunteer opportunities and how to LIVE UNITED. United Way staff and volunteers will have LIVE UNITED t-shirts available for purchase and proceeds raised will go towards UWGUC’s Community Impact Fund.
