A Community of African American Leaders
The mission of the African American Leadership Initiative (AALI) at United Way of Greater Union County is to improve lives and build strong communities by uniting individuals and organizations with the will, passion, expertise, and resources needed to solve educational, social and financial issues unique to the African American community in Union County.
AALI consists of a network of thought leadership philanthropic volunteers who seek to develop partnerships and coalitions to drive impact through efforts that raise awareness and leverage financial resources to improve the lives of African Americans in Union County.
A Caring Community of Women
Women United is a national and local initiative of women philanthropists that are devoted to giving to United Way and committed to fighting for the health, education and income stability of women across the world. In Union County, Women United seeks to improve maternal and child health conditions. This encompasses family planning, the health of mothers before and after pregnancy, and the health of infants and children.
With the unparalleled resources of United Way, Women United members can STRATEGIZE, ADVOCATE, and MAKE LASTING LOCAL CHANGES in their communities.

The Connection for Women and Families
The Connection for Women and Families, currently need volunteers to provide tutoring to new comers to the US. Flexible, no experience is necessary. Flexible hours, Monday - Thursday.

Caring Contact, a listening community, is seeking volunteers to complete our 12 week comprehensive Excellence in Listening training program to become a hotline listener. The training includes certifications in Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
